Plot / Synopsis
Chinggay (Jodi Sta. Maria), a jewelry shop manager, is one of the single women in their 30’s who feels the pressure to find love. She goes out on dates with men but none of them seem to make the cut. You may blame her high standards but the pain from her previous relationship could also be affecting her judgment on men. Now, her love life is suffering a drought for seven years.
Everything changes when suddenly, two men are interested to be with her. Ryan (Ian Veneracion) and Frank (Richard Yap).
Chinggay finds herself torn between two kinds of love. Will she choose one over the other? Or will she realize that the love that she needs won’t come from either?

The Achy Breaky Hearts Film Trailer Review
What can be said about The Achy Breaky Hearts official movie trailer? The Achy Breaky Hearts official movie trailer looks fun and lighthearted for a love triangle romantic film. Well, it doesn't revolutionize the genre (romcom). It's the same formulaic hopeless romantic who later finds herself in an emotional rollercoaster deciding which among two potential partners should she choose. A tried and tested formula but only with a dash of 'Please Be Careful with My Heart' (2012) and 'Darating and Umaga' (2003); ABS-CBN television soap operas that featured the love team of Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap (Please Be Careful with My Heart) and Jodi sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion (Darating and Umaga).
The Achy Breaky Hearts charm can be attributed to the still lingering effects of the Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria's love team back in the 2012 popular daytime soap opera "Please Be Careful with My Heart." Jodi Sta. Maria's quirkiness and charismatic appeal also comes into focus but of course this is coming from a male's perspective, the ladies may find the two leading men "appealing" which also works for the film. The Achy Breaky Hearts does not revolutionize anything but is just right up your alley if you are into Star Cinema romcoms and wanting to itch that Romcom itch for the month.
