The PreNup Film Trailer Review
What is there to say about The PreNup official trailer? Well, Filipino fans of romantic comedy rejoice as you have another dose of it with this Sam Milby and Jennylyn Mercado rom-com movie, The PreNup. The 2015 Filipino romcom The PreNup plays with the idea of a prenuptial agreement and the clash between the bigger-than-life stupendously rich parents from the leading man's side against the middle class bubbly gay parents from the female protagonists'side. There has to be something that will get in between the love story and in this film it seems like the warring in-laws with their condition and prenuptial agreement. Jennylyn plays the stereotypical bubbly and lovable female protagonist which works like a charm with Sam Milby being as his usual very cool masculine stereotype. Besides the romantic banter focus on the leads, it is the in-laws is another thing to watch out for in this romcom. The PreNup official trailer is "alright" in Filipino romcom standards.
RomComs is a big thing here in the Philippines and it shows with blockbuster ticket sales. It is now up to the film studios to help promote their title. I initially caught wind of it when someone shared the teaser for PreNup on Facebook, but lost track of it. The official trailer was officially released online last September 25, 2015, but I only caught wind of it again when I saw the short television trailer of PreNup which plays side-by-side with another (horror) film from Regal, Resureksyon. 19 days after the official trailer was released online then followed by a television trailer being played in a currently trending noontime show is a good marketing in the part of Regal. Regal doesn't own its own network; it is not like Star Cinema (an ABS-CBN) or GMA Films (do they still make films?) that has their own dedicated television networks where they can market their movies like crazy and for no cost whatsoever; that even if you don't like the film, you may very well enjoy every commercial every two seconds of the usually overly cliched film that they have for the month. Well, RomComs in general is an easily marketable Filipino movie genre and with the charming pair-up of Sam Milby and Jennylyn Mercado, The PreNup will probably be another blockbuster success. I wish the marketing team of these movies (or any Filipino movies) will release a short summary of what the film is about either on their official websites, social networking sites, or Youtube trailer releases to at least help create buzz for them or those who do not necessary in partnership with them. I just helped create a short synopsis for them which should be the job of the marketing team. Just saying. Well this is nothing new as either film studios or their marketing team does not provide a short description about the film or spoil the hell out of it through the spoiler-rich trailer (suddenly remembers Viva Film's Hitman
